The mechanical threshers or the combined harvesters along with squatted capacity enable both the process of harvesting and threshing at once. In this way the paddy harvested all over insisted with maximum moisture content that badly influenced in unit operations of paddy procurement such as milling, cleaning, and storing. This type of dryer with a one-ton capacity was primarily developed and tested for drying freshly harvested paddy. The performance of the mobile dryer was calculated in terms of overall thermal conductivity, heat utilization factors, coefficient of performances, total heat effectivity, and head rise yields. The thermal efficiency of this dryer primarily was evaluated on an average of 46.8%. The average heating efficiency termed as heat utilization factor and the total heat efficiency were 0.82 and 0.72 respectively. The coefficient of performance of the improved dryer was 0.18. The head rice yields of fresh harvesting paddy after drying at 60°C air temperature was 73.7%. Allover performance of drying machines is found to be great.
